With Sunday being the natural next start day for pitchers working on Tuesday, many of the All-Star Game hurlers, including both Midsummer Classic starters, are on the docket. All in all, its a very strong set, with only eight of the announced starters starting the second half with a losing record. Granted, wins and losses arent the best measure, but it does speak to the above-average quality of the slate. This should avail more streaming options than usual, along with making it harder to find quality hitting. But have no fear, were here to help with everything you need to end the first post-break weekend on a high note.PitchingNote that White Sox lefty?Chris Sale has been scratched from his Sunday start. Jacob Turner will take the mound for Chicago.?Elite Max Scherzer entered the break leading the league in strikeouts, fueled by a career high K/9. However, he has already matched last seasons walk total in 101 fewer innings, along with sporting a career-worst 1.5 HR/9. Still, with all the injuries and disappointments among the perceived top starting pitchers this year, those who drafted Scherzer have nothing to complain about. The Washington Nationals right-hander embarks on the second half with a home affair against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Bucs dont offer any additional strikeout upside, but the prolific strikeout artist doesnt need any help to be worthy in all fantasy formats.Remember when everyone was worried about Jacob deGroms drop in velocity? Take heed, the New York Mets right-hander is back to where he was last season, increasing his average and maximum velocity significantly over his past eight games as compared to his first seven outings. The club delayed his post-break debut to give the 28-year-old a little extra rest. The problem for DFS gamers is that there is nothing special about his matchup with the Philadelphia Phillies in Citizens Bank Park. If you have him in a seasonlong league, you can anticipate a strong stretch run from deGrom. And there will be many chances to use him in daily; this just isnt one of them.Johnny Cueto is almost always the ideal cash game pitcher. When he faces a lesser offense that is also generous with respect to strikeouts, the National Leagues All-Star starter is also a great GPP candidate. Such is the case this time, as Cueto draws the light-hitting San Diego Padres in Petco Park. The hosts check in with a meek .294 wOBA against righties, with a bloated 24 percent strikeout rate in that scenario. Cuetos strikeout rate is merely league average, but he goes very deep into ballgames, gaining DFS points in that manner.Solid David Price went into the break with three straight efforts featuring 10 whiffs to only one walk, the last one over eight innings. In fact, five of the leftys past eight outings have been eight frames. There was a lot of bad pitching contributing to Prices 4.34 ERA, but there are several signs hes in store for a typically elite second half. Prices rebound begins with a Sunday night affair against the rival New York Yankees in the Bronx. The veteran southpaw is a fine choice for DFS, as well as a viable GPP option, if you dont mind a Sunday evening sweat. If the rumors are true, every game Rich Hill starts for the Oakland Athletics could be his last. Interested teams will no doubt be watching as the 36-year-old is tested by the powerful Toronto Blue Jays, albeit in pitcher-friendly O.Co Coliseum. Hills 10.7 K/9 puts him in play as a GPP option, though it does come with the risk of facing an offense toting a .340 wOBA against lefties.Kenta Maeda entered the four-day respite on a high note, as he twirled the best outing of his rkie campaign on July 9, fanning a whopping 14 Padres with nary a free pass while working seven innings for the second time this season. Coming out of the break wont be so easy as the Los Angeles Dodgers wrap up a set in the desert against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Maeda is usually better suited for DFS cash play, but this time, hes a better GPP option, as the Snakes are dangerous in hitter-friendly Chase Field but do fan at an elevated rate.Jon Gray, Collin McHugh, Michael Fulmer, John Lackey and Julio Teheran are all solid starters, but none really stand out in terms of DFS potential, so well open the flr for questions on this group and move onto the all-important streaming section. Please dont hesitate to ask about anything germane to todays notes in the comments section or via Twitter to @ToddZola.Streamers Zach Davies is owned in just 29 percent of ESPN leagues, which is fair, based on his uneven first-half performance. Sundays date with the Cincinnati Reds in the Great American Ballpark wont be easy, but keep in mind the venue actually depresses run scoring, despite being a homer haven. Davies 1.3 HR/9 is a concern, but the Reds are merely average offensively, so hes in play, if you can absorb a possible hit to your ratios.Davies mound foe will be Dan Straily, who is in a similar spot as his counterpart. Straily has recorded comparable ERA and WHIP numbers to those of Davies, yet is owned in far fewer leagues, checking in at 8 percent. The primary advantage Straily has is extra strikeout potential, as the?Milwaukee Brewers?lead the league in?punchouts versus righties.Adam Conley leads the Miami Marlins into Busch Stadium to face Michael Wacha and the St. Louis Cardinals in another matchup of viable streaming options. Wachas previous exploits have him at 80 percent ownership, despite a down campaign, while Conley -- with significantly better numbers -- is on a roster in just 32 percent of ESPN leagues. Conley also makes an under-the-radar GPP choice. The Houston Astros have been the best team in baseball since late May, so recommending Seattle Mariners lefty Mike Montgomery comes with some risk. However, the 8 percent-owned southpaw has Safeco Field at his back, while his mates have been doing some raking of their own. Those taking a chance on J.A. Happ in seasonal formats, despite the move to hitter-friendly Rogers Centre, have been handsomely rewarded. However, brace yourself for an ERA correction: The left-hander outpitched his peripherals, boasting a 3.36 ERA, as compared to a more predictive 4.29 xFIP. That said, the regression might be delayed with Happ working in the cavernous O.Co Coliseum on Sunday.Astute fantasy owners were aware that the Baltimore Orioles were using Dylan Bundy in multiple-inning stints, ostensibly to stretch him out to start after the break. The club has not committed to using the former top prospect in the rotation going forward, but hes in a great spot if this is an audition. The 23-year-old righty takes on the strikeout-happy Tampa Bay Rays in pitcher-friendly Tropicana Field. Hopefully, you are one of the 7 percent ahead of the curve by stashing Bundy in an ESPN league. If not, grab him.Avoid Even though every option falling in the streaming range was not highlighted, there isnt a single arm t risky to categorically avoid other than Jacob Turner, who falls in the automatic range with a projected Game Score of 45 or below. As mentioned earlier, if youd like a few words on one of these options, hit me up in the comments, and Ill be glad to abide.Hitting The projected team hitter rankings corroborate a better-than-average pitching slate, as only one squad comes in at eight, one at seven, four more at six and everyone else five or below. This makes checking lineups even more important than usual to find DFS bargains, since the way to attack this sort of slate is with a couple of mini-stacks, with star hitters balanced with some punt plays. Keep in mind that even though most regulars just received a well-needed break, managers will want to keep their reserves sharp, so expect to see the usual complement of backups in the Sunday lineups. The Brewers?own the highest hitting ranking for their road affair against Straily. Theyre a predominantly right-handed squad, but that meshes with Straily, who doesnt exhibit significant splits. Jonathan Villar and Scter Gennett will be the table setters for Ryan Braun, Jonathan Lucroy and Chris Carter. Consider Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Ramon Flores for cheaper stacking options. The Los Angeles Angels were originally scheduled to face Chris Sale, but the White Sox opted to give the lefty ace along with fellow All-Star Jose Quintana another day off, so theyve summoned Jacob Turner for a spot-start. Some sites may have set DFS prices for Sale, making the Halos lefties a bargain -- most notably Kole Calhoun and Ji-Man Choi. Mike Trout is in play against everyone. The White Sox are in play facing Jeff Weaver and his 1.9 HR/9. Adam Eaton might not have pop, but he could be on base to score on a mates home run. The most logical candidates are Jose Abreu, Todd Frazier and the newly activated Justin Morneau.Robbie Ray has well-above-average strikeout potential, but he also struggles with control and the long ball. This leads to early exits and thus extra bullpen innings. The Dodgers will lk to take advantage of the promising but still maturing southpaw, with Howie Kendrick, Justin Turner, Yasiel Puig and Scott Van Slyke the primary beneficiaries enjoying the platn edge.Edwin Jackson slots into the?Drew Pomeranz?spot in the rotation for the?Padres, at least for Sundays Petco Field date with the San Francisco Giants. Jackson is a weak pitcher with only home-field advantage and a depleted Giants lineup keeping him from the avoid section. Many will be using an all-in Giants stack, but quite frankly, the available sticks arent that potent. Its best to get some exposure with Brandon Belt and Brandon Crawford than seek more hitting elsewhere. Finally, the Nationals get their first lk at Pirates righty Chad Kuhl. Bryce Harper is a great stand-alone play, with Clint Robinson and Stephen Drew?as possible punt options. Most likely to go yard: For a guy with so much raw power, Harper hasnt made this space very much. Thats about to change, beginning with taking Kuhl deep on Sunday. Most likely to swipe a bag: Villar is off and running again in the second half and in a great spot to keep on trucking against the Reds battery. Marqise Lee Youth Jersey . Blackwd, 28, has played the last three seasons in the San Diego Padres system, including the past two summers with Class AA San Antonio of the Texas League. Quincy Williams II Jaguars Jersey . The Lightning are 2-0 so far on a four-game road trip, giving the club five straight wins as the guest and improving Tampas away record this season to 11-8-2. http://www.officialjacksonvillejaguarspro.com/Josh-allen-jaguars-jersey/ . -- Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Farmar will be out for roughly four weeks after tearing his left hamstring. Josh Oliver Jersey .875,000, avoiding arbitration. Clippards deal Monday means all eight Nationals players who filed for arbitration wound up settling before a hearing. Nick Foles Jersey . Olli Jokinen, Mark Scheifele, and Bryan Little each had a goal and an assist as Winnipeg won 5-2, handing Calgary its record-setting seventh consecutive loss on home ice. After several relatively quiet weeks, there was an explosion of injuries in Week 11, with several players saying gdbye for the rest of the season. As difficult as those injuries may be to overcome, they have also created some opportunities for fantasy owners to bolster their teams. Lets take a lk at some of the better waiver wire selections as we head into Week 12.---CARSON WENTZ (QB, Eagles)The rkie has cled off after a strong start and hes only exceeded 300 passing yards twice all season. However, the Eagles rushing attack is down to third-stringer Wendell Smallwd and they have a sweet matchup against the Packers Monday night. Green Bay has allowed 22 passing touchdowns and a league-high 8.6 yards per pass attempt.COLIN KAEPERNICK (QB, 49ers)Kaepernick is averaging 23.4 fantasy points per game, which puts him in the top 10 among quarterbacks. There is no reason to worry about starting him if you need to replace Andrew Luck (concussion) for Week 12 or stash him as insurance for the fantasy playoffs. His rushing ability almost guarantees a high flr every week.TIM HIGHTOWER (RB, Saints)Mark Ingram is in the concussion protocol but even if he can play Week 12, there is a very gd chance Hightower will still receive a healthy number of touches. Hes averaging 4.2 yards per carry and hes been very productive in the passing game. At the very least, he should be owned in all deep leagues and by anyone relying on Ingram.WENDELL SMALLWD (RB, Eagles)Ryan Mathews (knee) is likely to miss Mondays game; he was spotted in a knee brace after injuring his MCL. Darren Sproles (rib) could play but may be limited. That leaves Smallwd as the next man up. He runs hard and could see plenty of action in the red zone. Hes also a capable receiver, which makes him worth adding in point-per-reception leagues.CHRIS IVORY (RB, Jaguars)The injury to T.J. Yeldon (ankle) could force him to miss Week 12 and possibly more. The Jaguars will lean on Ivory, especially in the passing game. Hes averaging 7.1 yards per reception and will produce if given a significant volume of touches. Ivory is a strong pickup in PPR formats.MIKE GILLISLEE (RB, Bills)It lks as though LeSean McCoy will play Sunday despite a dislocated thumbb but thats not guaranteed.ddddddddddddGillislee should be owned regardless because when called upon, he averages 5.7 yards per carry and hes a very reliable receiver. McCoy owners need to own Gillislee, a solid RB2 if McCoy is limited.ELI ROGERS (WR, Steelers)Sammie Coates is playing with broken fingers and has caught exactly one pass since Week 5. Meanwhile, Rogers has received at least five targets per game since Week 3, which makes him the WR2. The Colts are allowing a league-high 285 passing yards per game with 19 touchdowns. Only six teams have allowed more passing TDs, which makes Rogers a solid play this week.MARQISE LEE (WR, Jaguars)Lee gets a steady stream of targets every week and has caught at least four passes in all but two games this season. Allen Hurns has all but disappeared, so Lee is clearly second fiddle to Allen Robinson. Lee is a solid WR3 in PPR formats.TYLER BOYD (WR, Bengals)After the injured A.J. Green (hamstring) left Sundays game, Boyd stepped in as Andy Daltons favorite target. He finished the day with six receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown. Green may return but it wont be this week, which leaves Boyd to feast on a Ravens team that has allowed 17 touchdowns and an average of 25.1 fantasy points to wide receivers.ZACH ERTZ (TE, Eagles)Ertz has received 26 targets over the last three games to become a safety blanket for Wentz. The Eagles schedule is peppered with favorable matchups for Ertz, making him a solid TE choice for the fantasy playoffs ahead. The Week 12 matchup with Green Bay is particularly gd, as the Packers have allowed the second-most receiving yards to the TE position.C.J. FIEDOROWICZ (TE, Texans)The Texans TE has received at least seven targets in all but one of the last six games. Fiedorowicz is another TE with great matchups on the schedule ahead, as hell face the Packers, Colts and Bengals, whose defenses are among the most generous to the TE position. At worst, hes a terrific choice for playoff-bound teams lking for depth.---This column was provided to The Associated Press by the Fantasy Sports Network, http://FNTSY.com ' ' '
